License Types

Two license types are available, User Licenses and Site Licenses. A user license permits you to use Charles on one computers. A site license of Charles permits you (and members of your organisation) to use Charles on any computer at one site (or at multiple sites with a Multi-Site License). Both license types allow sensible use on a second computer and off-site. Please contact me for Educational pricing options, or read more about the licenses terms.

Upgrades

Each license is valid for the current major version of Charles at the time of purchase (currently 4.X), and remains valid for all updates up to but not including the next major version. A license is eligible for free upgrade to the next major version if the next major version is released within three months of the license purchase. Upgrade pricing will be 40% of the original license purchase price.

Payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Paddle accepts all major credit cards and PayPal. If necessary, please contact support to make alternative payment arrangements.

Paddle will add sales tax to your order, if it's appropriate in your country. You can enter your sales tax registration number (e.g. VAT number) during the checkout process, which will either remove the sales tax or enable you to claim it back as appropriate for your region.

Your license key will be displayed on screen, and emailed to you immediately following confirmation of your purchase. If you do not receive your license key within a few minutes, please check your spam folder. If that fails, please try our Lost License Key facility or contact support so that we can resend.

We'll never share your email address with anyone else. We may very occasionally send promotional emails, such as when we make a major new release or have a major sale. We may occasionally send you important emails relating to Charles. There will always be an unsubscribe link on all of these communications.
